What data does CarbiGo sync from my health app?

Which data types CarbiGo reads from Apple Health or Health Connect — weight, height, steps, workouts — and how sync works.

When you connect Apple Health or Google Health Connect, CarbiGo syncs the following types of data to give you a more complete picture of your health and activity.

Data types synced

  • Weight — used to track your weight trend and keep your calorie targets accurate

  • Height — used in your TDEE (calorie needs) calculation

  • Steps — your daily step count

  • Workouts / Exercise — activity sessions recorded by your device or fitness apps

How syncing works

  • First sync: CarbiGo pulls up to 30 days of historical data when you first connect.

  • Ongoing syncs: After that, only new or changed data is synced — CarbiGo doesn't re-download everything each time.

  • One reading per day: For weight, if you have multiple readings on the same day, CarbiGo picks the best one (manual entries take priority over device readings).

Good to know

  • You don't need to grant permission for all data types. CarbiGo will work with whatever you allow — there's no all-or-nothing requirement.

  • Your synced weight data feeds into CarbiGo's trend weight calculation, which smooths out daily fluctuations and keeps your diet plan targets accurate.

  • CarbiGo only reads data from your health app — it doesn't write any data back.
