Why isn't my health data syncing?

Troubleshooting steps when steps, weight, or workouts aren't syncing — check feature toggles, data source status, and permissions.

If your steps, weight, or other health data aren't showing up in CarbiGo, there are a few common things to check.

Things to check

  1. Is the feature enabled? Go to Feature Settings in your profile. Steps, Workouts, and Fasting each have a toggle — if a feature is turned off, CarbiGo won't sync data for it or show it on your progress pages. Make sure the feature you're expecting data for is toggled on.

  2. Is your device syncing to your phone's health app? CarbiGo doesn't connect directly to your wearable or fitness device (Garmin, Oura, Fitbit, Withings, Apple Watch, etc.). Your device needs to sync its data to Apple Health or Google Health Connect first — CarbiGo reads it from there. Check your device's companion app to make sure syncing is enabled.

  3. Check the data source status. In Feature Settings, tap into Steps or Workouts. You'll see a Data source row showing whether it's connected and when data was last synced. If there's a permissions issue or sync problem, it will be displayed here.

  4. Permissions: Tap Manage next to the data source in Steps or Workouts settings to view and update your device permissions for that data type directly.

  5. Health app has data: Open Apple Health or Health Connect directly and check that the data you expect is actually there. If your device isn't writing to it, CarbiGo won't have anything to pull.

  6. Give it a moment: After connecting for the first time, it can take a short while for historical data (up to 30 days) to sync. Try closing and reopening the app.

Still not working?

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the health integration from your CarbiGo profile.

  • Make sure your device's operating system and the CarbiGo app are both up to date.

  • If the issue persists, contact our support team with details about which data type isn't syncing and which device/tracker you're using.
