How do I log food by describing it?

Type or say what you ate — no lookups, no scrolling.

Just describe your entire meal in plain language — like "grilled chicken salad with ranch dressing and a side of fries" — and CarbiGo's AI will estimate the nutrition for everything and add it to your meal.

Steps

  1. Tap the meal builder or tap the + button on your daily log.

  2. Tap the Describe button at the bottom.

  3. Type or speak your description. Be as specific as you can — include the main items, cooking methods (grilled, fried, baked), and portion sizes (large, side, a cup of, etc.).

  4. Tap Submit or press Enter.

  5. CarbiGo's AI will estimate the nutrition for everything you described.

  6. Review the results. You can adjust the items, portions, or cooking method if needed.

  7. Tap Done logging to add the meal to your daily log.

Good to know

  • The more detail you provide — cooking methods, portion sizes, ingredients — the better CarbiGo's estimate will be.

  • This is the fastest way to log multiple foods at once.

  • If you're not sure about exact portion sizes, just say "regular," "small," or "large" and CarbiGo will adjust accordingly.

  • You can always go back and fine-tune the nutrition numbers after logging if you want to be more precise.
