How do I scan a nutrition label to log food?

Snap a photo of the nutrition facts and CarbiGo reads the values for you.

You can scan the actual nutrition facts label on a package β€” not just the barcode β€” and CarbiGo will read the values directly for accurate, error-free logging.

Steps

  1. Tap the meal builder or tap the + button on your daily log.

  2. Tap the Capture button at the bottom.

  3. Select the label icon (square with lines, representing a nutrition label).

  4. Point your camera at the nutrition facts panel. Make sure it's well-lit and the text is clearly visible.

  5. CarbiGo will read the label and extract the nutrition information.

  6. Review the detected values, adjust serving size if needed, and tap Add to [Meal] to log it.

Good to know

  • Label scanning works best when the nutrition label is flat and clearly visible in good lighting.

  • CarbiGo reads the values directly from the label, so they're more accurate than manually entering numbers.

  • You can edit any of the detected values before logging if something looks off.

  • This scan is saved to My Foods so you can log the same product again without scanning.
