How is CarbiGo different from Carb Manager?

What's new, what's different, and what's stayed the same.

CarbiGo is a completely new app β€” not a rebrand or update of Carb Manager. While both apps help you track nutrition, CarbiGo was built from the ground up with a focus on speed, accuracy, and modern AI-powered logging.

Key differences

  • Speed: CarbiGo is designed for fast logging. Photo-to-log, describe-to-log, and smart search get your meals tracked in seconds rather than minutes.

  • Data quality: CarbiGo uses paid, professional nutritional databases with extended sugar alcohol data β€” not user-submitted entries. This means more accurate macro counts, especially for Net Carbs.

  • AI-powered logging: Snap a photo of your plate or just describe what you ate in plain language. CarbiGo's AI identifies the food and estimates the nutrition for you.

  • Net Carbs by default: CarbiGo calculates and displays Net Carbs for all users and all diet types, not just keto.

  • Modern diet plans: Choose from six diet types (keto, low-carb, balanced, low-fat, high-protein, zone) or customize your own macros. Your plan is built from your TDEE, goal weight, and preferred diet type, with an EWMA-based weight trend to smooth out daily fluctuations.

  • Privacy first: Your data stays private and secure. You're in full control and can delete your account and all data at any time.

Good to know

  • CarbiGo is a separate app with its own account. Your Carb Manager data doesn't transfer over.

  • If you're used to Carb Manager, the core experience of logging food and tracking macros will feel familiar β€” it's just faster and more accurate.
