How do I set or adjust my calorie and macro targets?

Customize your daily targets so your numbers match your plan.

CarbiGo calculates your default calorie and macro targets during onboarding, but you can customize them at any time. Your targets should match your plan, your goal, and what feels sustainable for you.

How to adjust your targets

  1. Go to Profile (bottom right).

  2. Tap Diet & Goals or Nutrition Settings.

  3. You'll see your current targets for:

    • Daily Calories β€” your calorie goal

    • Macros β€” your targets for carbs (or Net Carbs), protein, and fat

  4. Tap any number to adjust it.

  5. CarbiGo will show you the new percentages and how they align with popular plans.

  6. Tap Save to confirm.

Guidelines for setting targets

  • Calorie target: Start with CarbiGo's recommendation, then adjust based on how you feel and your progress after 2-4 weeks.

  • Protein: Aim for at least 0.7-1g per pound of body weight (more if you're strength training).

  • Carbs: Depends on your plan and preference. Lower carb = faster fat loss (usually). Higher carb = more energy for workouts.

  • Fat: Don't go below 20% of your calories β€” your body needs it for hormone production and nutrient absorption.

Good to know

  • You can adjust your targets weekly, daily, or whenever you want.

  • More aggressive targets (larger calorie deficit) = faster weight loss, but harder to stick to.

  • More moderate targets = slower weight loss, but easier to maintain long-term.

  • If your progress stalls, try adjusting your targets slightly and waiting 2-3 weeks to see the effect.
